The Parrot, the Jabiru Stork, and the Owl are great friends and always play together in the forest until one day the Parrot makes an important decision: to demarcate the territory so that he and each of his friends have their own space. The result is that the characters each react in their own way and reflect on the decision to play together or separately, to share or not share spaces and their belongings. Esteban Vivaldi’s illustrations set the narrative in the Brazilian Pantanal, exploring the colors of the countryside and the water. Aspects such as the angles and the different perspectives on the scene compositions bring movement and reinforce the feelings conveyed by the text.
