About the book

This book brings together eight short stories inspired by the UN Millennium Development Goals, about the fight against hunger and child mortality, the struggle for education, gender equality, health of pregnant women, sustainability and partnerships for development. The stories are all based on the folk tales and myths of different peoples. Illustrator Fernando Vilela (BRA 2007 for Lampião e Lancelote) establishes a dialogue with the visual vocabulary of these cultures with graphic design that surprises the reader with different combinations of text and illustration. The stories were first published separately.
