This is a collection of 25 poems written by Edimilson Pereira de Almeida, one of the most respected contemporary Brazilian poets when we are talking about black children’s and young adult literature. The texts tell us about the animal kingdom and the language works with the children’s imagination and the various possibilities to think beyond the common sense. The black illustrator Edson Ikê sign the arts of the book and this work was inspired by the work of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca. In this innovative graphic design each text block has a different position on the page and the readers has to rotate the book according to each poem. This interaction with the book-object provides a tactile experience in each turning page.
