First published in 1891,  Philosopher or Dog? is the first adaptation to comic strips of the Machado de Assis novel “Quincas Borba. The book recounts life in the Brazilian Court at the end of the XIX century, and the story revolves around a love and self-seeking triangle.  Adapted by Luiz Antonio Aguiar, the text becomes tridimensional in settings and characters illustrated by Verônica Berta with different perspectives. Lines, colors, lights, and shadows give birth to a perfect and original version of this Brazilian literature classic.
