About the book

The bird believed that he sang well, but he could not fly. He would jump off a branch, and land in the bowl. He would say, “One day I will fly.” The giraffe was mute. She paid attention to the sounds of nature, and tried to mimic them. But her voice would not come out. “One day I will sing,” the giraffe thought. These two stories – the struggle between desire and limits – meet and complete each other in the pages of this beautiful poetic prose.
